Chicago Bears

This is probably the most obvious.

And the most appealing, too.

The Chicago Bears look set for a parting of the ways with head coach Matt Nagy at the end of the season, if not sooner. His handling of their current quarterback situation has been nothing short of disastrous and is really impacting the team’s chances on the field.

Chicago went boldly to move up and acquire Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, Nagy’s insistence that the limited Andy Dalton or even third-string Nick Foles should start in favor of the Ohio State product seems asinine at this juncture.

Players notice this type of stuff. And once a head coach loses the locker room, his fate is sealed.

The Bears have a formidable defense and some nice pieces on the offensive side. Even though their protection in front of Fields is an area that needs a significant makeover.

Should the inevitable happen and Nagy is relieved from his duties in the coming months, then Joe Brady could become a prime target for those in power on the Bears.

Imagine what Brady could scheme together for Fields and other dynamic weapons in Chicago.

He might have struggled in the red zone with the Carolina Panthers. But his adjustments in the second half at the Houston Texans show signs of growth that every coach needs if they want a big job at some stage.
