A flurry of trade activity and a clear early focus take center stage in a special Carolina Panthers 2022 NFL mock draft.

We are a long way from the 2022 NFL Draft, but the Carolina Panthers are already getting a good indication of what they might need from their latest batch of college recruits. However, it’s been a good start to the current campaign for Matt Rhule’s men, who sit with a 3-0 record ahead of the team’s trip to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.

Draft selections are a key bargaining tool for the Panthers and Scott Fitterer.

The general manager has been extremely active in the trade market to boost options since joining the organization from the Seattle Seahawks. This was once again evident this week when Carolina acquired cornerback C.J. Henderson and a fifth-round pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for tight end Dan Arnold and a third-rounder.

Although Henderson could be a solid addition to the set-up, the trade does leave Carolina without a Day 2 pick next spring after they gave up their second-rounder as part of the Sam Darnold deal.

However, if Fitterer’s first draft was any indication, the Panthers will be aiming to get these back and perhaps more depending on how the draft board falls throughout the early stages.

Carolina is currently picking at No. 15 overall on The Draft Network’s mock draft machine. We took a look at how things could play out.
