Who were the big winners and losers from the Carolina Panthers’ Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys?

Well, it took three weeks but the Carolina Panthers have lost a game this season.

After an unexpected start to the campaign, the Dallas Cowboys ended up being the superior team on Sunday.

The final score was a lot closer than the game felt throughout the second half thanks to two touchdowns late in the game by the Panthers but ultimately, the wheels fell off for Carolina after leading 14-13 in the first half.

However, there were some decisions by the refs that didn’t go the Panthers’ way. There was a ‘forward progress’ call on Jeremy Chinn that arguably should’ve been a forced fumble and then a missed holding call on Morgan Fox that led to a big run gain for quarterback Dak Prescott.

It’s possible those decisions could have been momentum changes for Carolina. But in the end, the Cowboys’ defense stepped up when they needed to and the Panthers didn’t look as dominant as they had the first three games from a defensive standpoint.

This is just one loss. But it’s the first real test of resolve for this Panthers team and the adjustments made in the coming days will be crucial ahead of next Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

While it’s hard to find many winners from a loss, there were some standouts. So, here are three winners and three losers from the Panthers’ first loss of the campaign in Week 4.
