Which Carolina Panthers players turned in disappointing performances during their defeat at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4?

The dust has now settled on what turned out to be a disappointing loss for the Carolina Panthers in Week 4. They were second best for long periods of their 36-28 reverse at the Dallas Cowboys, with a catastrophic third quarter putting pay to any chances they had of pulling off an upset.

Credit to the players for fighting right until the death. But the Panthers left themselves with a mountain to climb and weren’t able to reduce the deficit to less than eight points down the stretch.

This is a brutal league that operates with a what have you done for me lately mentality. So the Panthers need to dust themselves off and get ready for their return to Bank of America Stadium in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Some players need to raise their game considerably from the team’s latest showing. Here are the five most disappointing Panthers from AT&T Stadium.

John Miller – Carolina Panthers OG

It’s no secret that certain members of the offensive line didn’t cover themselves in glory at the Cowboys. John Miller falls into this particular category.

There was some doubt Miller would play after being listed as questionable beforehand. However, that is no excuse for his level of production that left a lot to be desired.

Sam Darnold was either running for his life or working from a collapsed pocket throughout the game. Miller needs to carry a big part of the blame and if things continue in this fashion, it won’t be much longer before big-time changes are made to the protection.
