6 big winners from the Carolina Panthers trade for Stephon Gilmore

Jaycee Horn and C.J. Henderson – Carolina Panthers CBs
We’ll put C.J. Henderson and Jaycee Horn in the same bracket because Stephon Gilmore’s arrival benefits them in the exact same way.
Both young cornerbacks are undeniably talented and are sure to achieve great things with the Carolina Panthers. But having someone like the All-Pro and Super Bowl winner to learn from in the coming weeks is going to do their development a significant amount of good.
Even though Horn is sidelined with a broken foot until December at the earliest, he should be in Gilmore’s ear at every possible opportunity.
Both attended South Carolina and what information the No. 8 overall selection can gather needs to be soaked up in pursuit of hitting the ground running when his unfortunate injury problem fully heals.
Henderson only joined the Panthers last week in another trade – this time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was thrust into the lineup at the Dallas Cowboys and swiftly gave up a touchdown to Amari Cooper, even if there wasn’t that much wrong with the coverage.
There are no doubting Gilmore’s credentials. He’s done it all since entering the league and if this can rub off on the likes of Horn and Henderson, the Panthers will be in good hands for years to come.
