Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson gains 100 receiving yards

It has been a rough start to the season statistically for Robby Anderson. If it wasn’t for the one reception that went for 57 yards against the New York Jets, the wide receiver wouldn’t have even seen the end zone in 2021.

Plenty of this is not on Anderson.

He has flashed open on many occasions and Sam Darnold has missed or just flat out overthrown Anderson. Head coach Matt Rhule came out publicly in his press conference after the game at the Houston Texans to state the Carolina Panthers had to start getting him more involved.

Anderson did see his receptions increase to the highest they have all season this past week in Dallas. He hauled in five receptions for 46 yards but has surpassed 50 receiving yards just once this season.

Darnold should be airing it out this week in what is anticipated in being a back and forth, high-scoring game. Simply put, the quarterback needs to hit his open receivers.

Many a time that is Anderson.

Look for the pair to finally connect on some of these deep shots and Anderson surpasses 100 yards receiving in what hopes to be the start of several games in a row he can be productive statistically.
