Which Carolina Panthers players should you start or sit in fantasy football during their Week 5 game against the Philadelphia Eagles?

The Carolina Panthers’ adversity continued with a tough loss on Sunday at the Dallas Cowboys. Despite being underdogs, they looked to be on par with the home team, going into halftime with the lead (14-13).

Questionable officiating probably cost them more points. But the Panthers had themselves to blame in the end, giving up 20 unanswered points in the third quarter and ultimately losing the contest.

Despite the setback, there were some encouraging fantasy performances and more data points to project what we should see from key Panthers players when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.

Things seemed bleak after one key player, Christian McCaffrey, suffered a hamstring injury against the Houston Texans.

However, the All-Pro running back practiced this week and could see the field on Sunday which has to be relieving for both Panthers fans and McCaffrey’s fantasy owners. But who knew that Sam Darnold would be the beneficiary of his brief absence.

Carolina’s new signal-caller leads the entire NFL (including running backs) with five rushing touchdowns. We hope you grabbed him off the waiver wire early, although it’s highly likely he may still be available in your league (more on that later).

Now, let’s break it down and I’ll tell you who to start and sit prior to Sunday’s game against Philadelphia.
