Can the Carolina Panthers OL improve?

This is the million-dollar question.

And the answer is going to have some huge ramifications.

It’s no surprise to many fans, writers, and analysts that the Carolina Panthers are among the league’s worst when it comes to offensive line play. That’s what happens when you rely on underperforming veterans and free-agent signings who didn’t exactly shine elsewhere.

Couple this with the Panthers waiting until Round 3 to address this significant need in the 2021 NFL Draft and it’s not hard to see why things aren’t going right.

The likes of Dennis Daley, Matt Paradis, Pat Elflein, John Miller, and Cam Erving just aren’t good enough. Certainly, not for a team with ambitions of being one of the best in the not-too-distant future.

Taylor Moton is the only lineman to emerge from the campaign so far with any sort of credit. But even the former second-round selection looked uncomfortable when switched to left tackle against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Good linemen don’t get traded. So the Panthers either throw the rookies in prominently or stick with what they have and hope things miraculously turn around.

Either way, it’s not exactly ideal.
