Which way could the Carolina Panthers go with their 2022 NFL Draft selections through Week 5 of the 2021 season?
It won’t be much longer before attention starts turning to the latest batch of college recruits and the 2022 NFL Draft. For the Carolina Panthers and other teams across the league, the scouting process is well underway and a long list of potential targets is being constantly reviewed and drawn up in readiness for the offseason.
This is a pivotal part of building any contending team. The Panthers have enjoyed more good than bad from their last two drafts, with players such as Derrick Brown, Jeremy Chinn, and Jaycee Horn set to form key components to any success that comes Carolina’s way in the years to come.
The Panthers are in the midst of a two-game slump after starting the season 3-0. However, it was the manner of the team’s defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 that posed the most concern.
Carolina Panthers need another strong draft in 2022.
Problem areas are there for all to see. With just a few short weeks remaining until the trade deadline, Carolina might opt to go with what they have for now and see if this is enough to secure a surprise postseason spot.
If the Panthers can hit it big with their 2022 draft prospects, then it might make the difference between another year of mediocrity and becoming a genuine playoff contender. The line is that fine.
