Carolina Panthers must make changes to the OL

Just how the Carolina Panthers are going to do this is unclear, but the point still stands that this is the worst group in the league by a large margin.

Matt Paradis has been leaky in pass blocking, Dennis Daley is nothing more than a situational backup, and John Miller has been a fiasco of epic proportions.

This trio has to change, and soon.

Not that there are any good options on the roster to sub in other than rookie Deonte Brown and with such little known about the former Alabama stud’s ability at the NFL level there’s no telling what the team actually has there.

Magnifying this issue is the exceptional talent the Minnesota Vikings have at their disposal on defense to put pressure on this disheartening group. Dalvin Tomlinson, Danielle Hunter, and Everson Griffen can wreck a game if they get going and there’s honestly nothing to stop them at the moment.

Why go at Taylor Moton on the edge when there is an almost guaranteed pressure up the middle?

The main talking points when the Panthers brought in Sam Darnold were weapons and protection and this team has failed miserably at the protection side of things and it shows. The USC product needs time to make a decision or he makes the wrong one, it’s that simple.

The main problem with this key to victory is the fact that it is entirely unattainable.

No team will trade a productive guard at this point during the season and very few make this move at any point. Even if an organization does make a player available the asking price will be astronomical.

This should have been fixed in the offseason and it wasn’t. It’s going to be a long day at the office for Darnold and it’s sad to see.
