Chuba Hubbard – Carolina Panthers RB

  • Over 68.5 rushing yards (-120)

The Carolina Panthers confirmed a crushing blow when Christian McCaffrey was ruled out and placed on the reserve/injured list. This comes after Matt Rhule declared himself hopeful that the running back could feature against the Minnesota Vikings at the start of the week before he obviously suffered a setback during Wednesday’s practice.

It’s not like the Panthers don’t have experience playing without McCaffrey, who has missed 16 of the last 22 games since Rhule took over at the helm.

This is Chuba Hubbard‘s moment. And the Panthers will be relying on the rookie fourth-rounder out of Oklahoma State heavily to set the tone and keep the Vikings’ defense honest.

Hubbard went over 100 yards rushing for the first time against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, which was a huge confidence boost for the player. He has another good shot at attaining this feat in Week 6, with the Vikings giving up 130 yards-per-game on the ground – ranked No. 22 across the league.

As stated previously, the Panthers will look to take some pressure off Sam Darnold, especially early on. Expect offensive coordinator Joe Brady to try and get Hubbard going and if he can start strongly, then he might find himself with his second straight contest in triple figures.

For this reason, we are taking Hubbard to go over 68.5 yards rushing in Week 6. Hopefully, this can help Carolina return to the win column.
