What were the main talking points as the Carolina Panthers dropped a third straight game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6?

“We’re not the Carolina Christian McCaffrey’s”, were the words of left tackle Cam Erving after the All-Pro went down during the win over the Houston Texans.

Well since that the offense has pretty much fallen apart, Sam Darnold has alarmingly fallen back into the quarterback we saw struggle so much with the New York Jets, throwing seven interceptions picks in just three games without McCaffrey alongside him in the Carolina Panthers backfield.

In the game last week we lamented the Panthers for somehow losing a game they had no right to. But Sunday was the complete opposite as Carolina was second best for the entire game.

The first half was some of the worst football I’ve watched from this team. But the Panthers somehow only found themselves down two at halftime.

Darnold struggled again. For much of the game he had a quarterback rating of zero and his stats were a dismal 5/18 for 60 yards and one interception after the first two quarters at Bank of America Stadium.

Just what went wrong doesn’t take a great deal of investigating. Here are the five major talking points from Carolina’s loss against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6.
