Which Carolina Panthers players must see more time on the field when they take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium?

It’s hard to put into words just how much is at stake for the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Their game at the New York Giants seems like the perfect chance to get things back on track after three-straight losses, but there is simply no telling how toxic things will be within the team’s fanbase if things go sour once again.

The Giants are there for the taking, it seems. But so were the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings, which didn’t exactly work out too well for Matt Rhule’s men.

Simply put, unless the Panthers can start rectifying some ongoing problems that are impacting results, then the contest might not be as cut and dried as many are expecting.

Big changes might be on the way, especially if cornerback Stephon Gilmore plays some part. Here are five Panthers players who must see more playing time at the Giants in Week 7.

Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL

No sooner had Brady Christensen been installed into the starting lineup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6, he was immediately back to the bench as the Panthers opted to go with Cam Erving at left tackle and switch Taylor Moton back to the right-hand side.

Even when Dennis Daley was benched early on, Carolina ignored the third-round pick in favor of Michael Jordan, who was responsible for giving up three out of the four sacks according to Pro Football Focus.

Just why the Panthers are so reluctant to give the BYU product some extended time on the field is beyond all comprehension. Especially considering how poor the offensive line has been overall.

Christensen cannot be much worse. So just throw him in and see exactly what you have.
