Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold throws 3 TDs and 0 INTs

It certainly hasn’t been anything like what the Carolina Panthers hoped over the last two games for Sam Darnold, who has reverted to type after giving people plenty of reasons to be encouraged earlier in the campaign.

Not having Christian McCaffrey hasn’t exactly helped, but the signal-caller’s rash decision-making and costly turnovers have left many speculating whether he’s the right man for the team after this season.

Going back to MetLife Stadium isn’t exactly the ideal scenario for Darnold considering how much he struggled there over three years with the New York Jets. The Giants fans will be all-too-aware of how much the quarterback copes with pressure, so it’s going to be a hostile environment for the USC product in a high-pressure situation.

This is a huge test for Darnold. One that could make or break his stint in Carolina.

However, this represents a good matchup to really stamp his authority and get back to the player we saw over the first three games.

Carolina will try and take some pressure off by establishing the run. But the onus will also be on Darnold to make red-zone opportunities count and pick the Panthers up from the brink of despair.

The Giants have some playmakers on defense, but we are backing Darnold to bounce back in the best possible way at a place he once called home.
