Carolina Panthers fantasy football outlook for Week 7 at Giants
D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Carolina Panthers wideouts. D.J. Moore was especially subpar against the Minnesota Vikings with uncharacteristic drops and a costly fumble in the second half.
Despite netting a total of just under 20 fantasy points in two weeks, Moore is still a top-10 wide receiver in fantasy.
Start or Sit Week 7?
START.
Moore is still the clear-cut WR1 for the Panthers and should bounce back in New York this Sunday. The possibility of fewer targets is certainly a factor, but the Giants have given up nearly 40 fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
A positive sign that Moore should have a good day.
Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
With three catches, 11 yards, and one late touchdown, Robby Anderson tallied his second-highest fantasy point total of the season with 10.10. We all sound like broken records talking about his struggles at this point, but the hope is it the players can only get better from here, right?
Start or Sit Week 7?
Buyer Beware.
The Giants are a good opponent to start Anderson against. However, now that Matt Rhule has stated Carolina will work more towards the run game, it’s fair to worry about how many targets will be left for Anderson.
Shi Smith – Carolina Panthers WR/Carolina Panthers TEs
With Terrace Marshall Jr. listed as out with a concussion, fellow rookie wideout Shi Smith will take the mantle of WR3 for the Panthers. The sixth-rounder from South Carolina has impressed with the few opportunities he’s gotten and hopefully, he continues to shine in a larger role.
With Dan Arnold traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, neither Ian Thomas nor Tommy Tremble has separated themselves as TE1 in the passing game.
However, it seems like Joe Brady likes to use Tremble in the red zone which is helpful when deciding which Panthers tight end to put on your roster.
Start or Sit Week 7?
SIT.
This offense is too unpredictable to have confidence in Smith, Thomas, or Tremble to be productive, even against a bad pass defense.
