Carolina Panthers fantasy football outlook for Week 7 at Giants
Zane Gonzalez – Carolina Panthers K
Color me shocked, Zane Gonzalez has been the only consistent contributor throughout this team’s roller-coaster season. The veteran kicker tied for his second-highest fantasy total – eight points – against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday by making both his extra points and both his field goals from 47 and 23 yards, respectively.
Let’s see if Gonzalez can put together three straight perfect kicking performances.

START.
The Carolina Panthers should be able to score on the New York Giants fairly easily, but settling for field goals shouldn’t hurt too bad either.
Kicking outdoors at Met Life stadium is no easy task, but this is a volume play. Gonzalez should take about 4-6 kicks and even if he isn’t perfect, the points should add up.
The Giants are also the 23rd ranked team against kickers in fantasy.
Carolina Panthers DST
“Football is the ultimate team sport” has proven to be more than a cliche if you’ve watched the Panthers this year. The poor offensive play has had a trickle-down effect on a defense that is capable of much better than the numbers show.
The Vikings’ offense was on the field for 11 more minutes than Carolina and in that time, the defense gave up 571 yards and 34 points. Minnesota’s offensive line held up their end of the bargain as well, keeping Kirk Cousins’ jersey clean for the entire game.
Nevertheless, the Panthers tallied seven fantasy points by recovering a fumble and scoring a touchdown on a blocked punt.
Start or Sit Week 7?
START.
After a nice start to the season, Daniel Jones has fallen back down to earth. New York will be without several key players on offense and this Panthers defense has been ferocious – third in total defense, sixth in scoring defense – even if the Vikings box score tells a different story.
