3 best prop bets for the Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons in Week 8
By Dean Jones
Sam Darnold – Carolina Panthers QB
- Under 239.5 yards passing (-115)
One could say this is the biggest and most important game of Sam Darnold‘s career. Certainly, his most crucial since he joined the Carolina Panthers.
The quarterback has been in freefall over the last month after a strong start to life in a different environment. Darnold’s inefficient production has led many to believe he isn’t the answer long-term, with constant speculation linking the team with Deshaun Watson gathering pace in the wake of his dismal performance and benching at the New York Giants.
Carolina will do everything they can to take the pressure off Darnold this weekend.
A run-first approach is almost guaranteed after Joe Brady calls just 17 such plays in Week 7. But the signal-caller still needs to come up with big plays and keep the chains moving when required.
The Atlanta Falcons will know the level of confidence Darnold probably has at the moment. Couple this with a suspect offensive line and it’s not hard to envisage just where things might go wrong again.
It’s now or never for Darnold.
Do or die.
Darnold doesn’t have to throw for 400 yards. Just make good decisions and don’t turn the football over.
There’s just no telling how this is going to go. The smart decision would be betting Darnold to throw under 239.5 passing yards at -115 (bet $115 to win $100).
