How much of a problem is Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson?

It was another hugely frustrating week for Robby Anderson at the New York Giants. The wide receiver endured a difficult afternoon despite plenty of targets coming his way, with a couple of notable drops continuing what’s rapidly becoming a trend.

Anderson’s production and confidence issues on the field are a cause for concern. Even if he does have the talent to turn things around at a moment’s notice.

With rookie wideout Terrace Marshall Jr. questionable the game with a concussion once again and no Christian McCaffrey in the lineup, the onus will be on Anderson to reignite himself and the chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold that promised so much prior to the campaign.

The Atlanta Falcons are giving up a shade over 250 yards per game through the air. In fairness to Anderson, he is getting open, so making the most of chances that come his way is absolutely essential if this offense wants to be productive.

Carolina placed a tremendous amount of faith in Anderson by giving him a two-year extension before the campaign got underway.

This hasn’t translated into similar or better production we saw from the Temple product in 2020. But we’ll probably find out for sure just how much of a problem Anderson’s indifferent form actually is after Sunday’s game.
