Sam Darnold – Carolina Panthers QB

I finally understand what New York Jets fans were going through. While the jury is still out on whether Zach Wilson will be any better, having to watch Sam Darnold inexplicably regress each week has been mind-numbing.

Ever seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button?

It’s like we know that Darnold is a veteran at this point. But as the weeks go by, he ages backward and plays like it’s his first day of rookie minicamp.

Matt Rhule stated that Darnold will be in control of his own destiny moving forward. This says a lot about what the coaching staff thinks about current backup P.J. Walker.

Start or Sit Week 8?

Buyer Beware.

The Atlanta Falcons pass defense is pretty mediocre which makes this a good matchup for Darnold. But I can’t advise starting him based on what he’s shown over the last few weeks.

Try your luck elsewhere until Darnold plays like an NFL starter again. Although just when that’s going to be is uncertain even if it happens at all.
