What last-ditch trades could the Carolina Panthers potentially pursue if they want to salvage their chances in 2021?
The Carolina Panthers are in danger of losing some real momentum in the second year of Matt Rhule’s reign. A promising 3-0 start had many wondering just how far this team could go in 2021, which has swiftly been followed by a dismal run of form that leaves their fortunes hanging in the balance despite getting back to winning ways at the Atlanta Falcons.
Carolina needs a spark from somewhere.
Anywhere.
There are some problem positional groups that continue to hold this talented roster back. The longer these get left unaddressed, the longer it’s going to take for the Panthers to make genuine progression.
Carolina Panthers are still looking for help ahead of the trade deadline.
It’s a little late in the day to be looking for additional reinforcements in the trade market with the November 2 deadline rapidly approaching.
However, general manager Scott Fitterer claimed he’d be “in on every deal” and according to ESPN’s insider Jeremy Fowler, the Panthers are still working the phones in pursuit of bolstering their options.
Whether there’s any point in this right now given Carolina’s current record is up for debate. However, there is increasing pressure on the current regime and desperate times could call for desperate measures.
With this in mind, here are five last-ditch trades the Panthers could make in the coming hours with a view to salvaging their 2021 season.
