Which Carolina Panthers players could be sacrificed before the 2021 trade deadline if the right offer comes along?

The Carolina Panthers are clearly at a crossroads right now. Despite their win at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8, Matt Rhule’s men are staring down the barrel of yet another losing season given their strength of schedule following the bye week, which is a far cry from the optimism surrounding the franchise following such a fantastic start.

There are too many questions surrounding the Panthers at some key positions and within their coaching staff for them to be taken seriously as a postseason challenger. Considering how tough things are about to get, it might be worth them fielding some calls before the 2021 trade deadline in pursuit of acquiring some additional draft capital or help on the offensive line.

Carolina might be preaching “building something” as Rhule stated last week. But the moves made by the front office indicate they felt a playoff spot was well within their capabilities this season.

Things haven’t gone according to plan since. So it would be prudent for the Panthers to be sellers if the right opportunity comes along.

Not exactly ideal. But this team is one clearly heading in the wrong direction on the back of five straight losses against teams they should have beaten, in all honesty.

With this in mind, here are five Panthers players who could be sacrificed before the 2021 deadline providing there is interest from elsewhere.
