The Carolina Panthers land a potential franchise quarterback to replace Sam Darnold in our latest full-seven-round 2022 NFL mock draft.

It seems as if the Carolina Panthers’ plans might be changing regarding the 2022 NFL Draft. This is probably low on anybody’s list of priorities midway through the season, but the organization will already be making plans regarding prospects of interests as the all-important assessment process draws closer.

Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for the Panthers of late. They currently sit with a 4-4 record following their big-time win to the Atlanta Falcons, which has left many wondering how long is it going to take for this team to become a legitimate postseason challenger once again despite getting back to winning ways in Week 8.

Carolina’s talk of rebuild doesn’t really fit their aggressive approach to recruitment of late. The front office has left no stone unturned in pursuit of improving the roster, although whether they are in a better spot than this time last year is up for debate.

Carolina Panthers need a strong draft in 2022.

There should be plenty more wheeling and dealing from general manager Scott Fitterer before the draft. The Panthers don’t have a Day 2 pick at the present time, so they will be a primary trade-down candidate as they look to acquire some additional capital.

Carolina is currently picking at No. 14 overall in The Draft Network’s mock machine. Here’s what they could do with their selections in our latest seven-round mock draft.
