Quay Walker – LB (Georgia)

The Georgia Bulldogs defense is a sight to behold this season. They are loaded with NFL talent and this is something that’s propelling them to a potential national championship in 2021 if things continue as they are.

There are plenty of NFL scouts across the league taking interest in this. The Carolina Panthers might also have one eye on some talent and especially at the second level where things are relatively uncertain this offseason.

Jermaine Carter and Haason Reddick are both out of contract in 2022. Shaq Thompson is a potential salary-cap casualty despite his strong performance, so it remains to be seen whether all three come back or not.

Regardless of this, getting additional depth to assist wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world. Quay Walker is a fantastic talent that could help either on the interior or as an outside linebacker thanks to his outstanding athleticism.

One wouldn’t say Walker has the highest football IQ in the world. But he has enough instincts to be around the action consistently and possesses the explosiveness to generate pressure should the opportunity arise.

Walker is also serviceable in coverage when needed. The Panthers are always looking for assistance on special teams, which the prospect would provide while working his way onto the rotation.
