5 Patriots players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 9

Matthew Judon – LB
The Carolina Panthers are obviously challenged anytime they go up against a stud defensive player with how fragile their offensive line has been overall. This week won’t get any easier in the face of New England Patriots linebacker Matt Judon.
In his first season with the Patriots, Judon is currently fourth in the NFL with eight sacks and has 32 total tackles along with a recovered fumble.
Judon is coming off a great game against the Los Angeles Chargers last week, pressuring Justin Herbert nine times, according to TruMedia.
He’s basically been a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks this season. With the Panthers possibly having to start P.J. Walker at quarterback, their protection has to do everything they can to limit Judon’s opportunities in getting to the backup quarterback.
New England’s defense isn’t elite but they’re pretty solid. This would not be the case without Judon’s impact this year.
Carolina’s offensive line showed signs of life at the Atlanta Falcons, dominating in the run game and holding their own in pass protection. However, Judon is arguably the best edge rusher they’ve faced this season, and double-teaming him on almost every down is almost a necessity.
