Which Carolina Panthers players are skating on thin ice ahead of the team’s crucial Week 9 game against the New England Patriots?

The Carolina Panthers deserve credit for digging deep and getting a much-needed win at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. This was a real crossroads game regarding their overall aspirations in 2021 and although it wasn’t perfect, the result was far more important than the performance following the team’s concerning losing run.

Things are still hanging in the balance for a Panthers team that currently sits at 4-4 ahead of what’s going to be a tough stretch of fixtures after the Week 13 bye. Carolina needs to generate some real momentum before their deserved rest, so they can ill-afford to regress against the New England Patriots at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.

This will be another stern test. The Patriots don’t have Tom Brady anymore, but head coach Bill Belichick has his revamped organization heading in the right direction after going through some early complications.

The Panthers will need to raise their game further to attain a second consecutive victory. For certain members of the roster, this encounter could have huge ramifications on their long and short-term future with the franchise.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players who are skating on thin ice in Week 9.
