Here are some bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers as they look to achieve victory against the New England Patriots in Week 9.

If the Carolina Panthers can emerge from their Week 9 game against the New England Patriots with a win, it would take them to 5-4 and with some attainable hopes of reaching the postseason. This might be easier said than done in the face of a team coached by Bill Belichick, but the AFC East outfit is far more vulnerable than the dynasty days of years gone by.

Matt Rhule has some questions to answer regarding his roster with quarterback Sam Darnold in the concussion protocol and running back Christian McCaffrey seemingly unlikely to suit up as he works his way back from a hamstring injury.

This is an intriguing matchup between two well-matched rosters overall. New England spent heavily in free agency and cut Cam Newton loose in favor of Mac Jones, who has been far better than advertised operating in a system tailormade for the signal-caller’s attributes.

Without further ado, here are five bold predictions for the Panthers in Week 9.

Bold Prediction No. 1

Haason Reddick gains multiple sacks for the Carolina Panthers

The Patriots have a solid offensive line and Mac Jones is getting the football out quickly. But Haason Reddick has been on a tear this season and could be set for another big outing in Week 9.

Reddick has proved to be one of the best free-agent signings anywhere in the league, displaying the sort of aggressiveness and ruthless mentality that’s been sorely missing opposite Brian Burns.

Providing the Panthers manage to shut down the run game, Reddick should be able to cause havoc and maintain his outstanding 2021 season.
