Kenyon Green – OL (Texas A&M)

It hasn’t shocked anyone associated with the Carolina Panthers – outside of those in power – how much the team has struggled on the offensive line. A patchwork group of veterans and unproven rookies outside of stud right tackle Taylor Moton have performed as expected, which has become their undoing in almost every game.

This key positional area has been ignored for long enough. If the Panthers don’t get better in the trenches next season and beyond, there is only so far this organization will go.

No matter who Carolina has under center, they need more consistent protection to succeed. Sam Darnold’s looked like a rabbit in the headlights without the comfort blanket of Christian McCaffrey and if the Panthers are serious about progressing, this should be their top priority next spring.

Kenyon Green is a problem-solver and possesses experience both within the interior and at the left tackle position.

Just where he’s suited at the next level is still up in the air. But the Panthers need help across the board and the Texas A&M prospect represents a considerable upgrade on anything Carolina currently has.

Green has the size, technique, and poise to make a substantial impression from Day 1. His lateral movement does need some work, but there is a lot to like about his ability to make a smooth transition.
