5 Carolina Panthers players who have offered almost nothing in 2021

Marquis Haynes – Carolina Panthers DE/OLB
The Carolina Panthers have so much talent on their defensive front. Something that couldn’t be said of their 2020 roster.
Those in power made a concerted effort to bolster this area of the field during the offseason. This has brought around a supreme turnaround in fortunes, with the Panthers seemingly able to generate pressure at will no matter the standard of opposition.
Although this all bodes well for Carolina’s future, it’s left Marquis Haynes on the outside looking in. The defensive end hasn’t seen much of the field through the first seven games despite flashing on a rotational basis in 2020 and Joe Person of The Athletic reported that the Panthers were willing to trade the former Ole Miss standout before the 2021 deadline.
This might seem a little harsh for a solid contributor such as Haynes. But it’s hard to stake a claim when so many top players are making significant contributions further up the depth chart.
Haynes might be better suited to a fresh start.
Somewhere where he can push for meaningful reps.
The player is out of contract next spring and should have more than his fair share of suitors if Carolina opts to let Haynes take his chances elsewhere.
