Sam Darnold/P.J. Walker – Carolina Panthers QBs

Sam Darnold was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report and will likely have to be cleared by a neurologist to play on Sunday. The team still might want to be careful even if the quarterback is no longer concussed as he has been limited in practice this week.

Not to mention, he’s nursing an injury to his throwing shoulder.

Against the Atlanta Falcons, the fourth-year pro tallied 195 total yards – good enough for a smidge under 12 fantasy points.

Darnold’s backup, P.J. Walker, is probably going to start, but only has one NFL start under his belt hasn’t inspired a ton of confidence with his play for the Carolina Panthers lately.

Start or Sit in Week 9?

SIT.

Stay away from both quarterbacks this Sunday.

The Panthers finally committed the run game in the win against Atlanta and should do so again this week. And I don’t trust Darnold with limited practice coming up against Bill Belichick nor do I trust inexperienced Walker.

If you have better options available – and you should – go with that over risking Carolina’s players under center.
