When will former Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton get signed?

When will Cam Newton get signed?
As stated previously, for Cam Newton to still be seeking employment is a bizarre situation. There are multiple teams – the Carolina Panthers included – who should be putting a call in his direction given their problems under center, with some injuries to key men like Jameis Winston failing to come with any interest.
This all comes down to timing. Newton waited and got the right situation in 2020 before his release this offseason, but we are now at the midseason point and things are looking bleak if the Heisman Trophy winner wants to see the field in any capacity during the current campaign.
In all honesty, Newton might have to wait until 2022 for a chance.
A little harsh without question. However, one cannot look at his current predicament and think anything will change in his immediate future.
Newton is not ready to call it a day. Nor should he be.
Perhaps no quarterback has had so much unwarranted criticism despite his exceptional talent, overall contribution to the league, and his sterling work within the community.
Simply put, this is a transcendent figure that deserved better.
The NFL is not the most sentimental business to ply your trade. Newton knows nothing will be handed to him at this stage, so grasping an offer and making the most of it is absolutely essential.
