What are some keys to an unlikely victory for the Carolina Panthers as they travel to the red-hot Arizona Cardinals in Week 10?

There is a lot broken on the Carolina Panthers right now and not much wiggle room left to fix it. Bill Belichick once again exposed the weaknesses in his opposition like he has always been more than willing to do during his time with the New England Patriots, and it wasn’t pretty in Week 9.

Poor gap discipline, bad throws, bad coaching. Same story different day.

Trying to find a bright spot is like trying to find hay in a needlestack. You may get there eventually but it’s going to be painful along the way.

I suppose the one thing that can be looked at in a positive light is special teams, that thing that was the biggest concern at the start of the year. Zane Gonzalez was once again automatic when given the opportunity and Lachlan Edwards performed admirably in the punting game after getting plenty of chances.

Beyond that, the only other bright spot was the play of the pass defense. A facet of the game that has seen a resurgence since Stephon Gilmore was inserted in the lineup and should only get better from here.

If the run defense ever finds itself again.

The Panthers desperately need to get something going. That will be no easy task against what is quite possibly the best team in the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals.

A breakout year for both Kyler Murray and head coach Kliff Kingsbury has led the Cardinals to a league-best 8-1 record, including a game without their head coach and a truly dominant win over the San Fransisco 49ers with Colt McCoy at the helm.

This could be the epitome of a “gotcha” game if the Panthers are able to formulate and execute an effective game plan. But what are the keys to an extremely unlikely victory for Carolina?
