5 Cardinals players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 10
By Jason Huber
Chandler Jones – DE
Even at 32 years old, Chandler Jones has continued to be one of the most polarizing and dominating players in the NFL.
Jones has gone through some injury troubles this year. But he started the season off with an incredible five-sack game against the Tennessee Titans and became the Arizona Cardinals’ all-time leading sack leader last week.
As I’ve reiterated many times, this Carolina Panthers offensive line is not good and Jones will make sure to cause chaos as much as he can. And he’ll be smelling another potentially huge game against inferior opposition.
Last week, Jones ended the sackless streak that began after his first game and proved he’s still got plenty left in the tank. The uncertainty surrounding P.J. Walker under center is another element in the defensive end’s favor, although the Temple product is far more athletic than people give him credit for.
Walker will need all that and more against one of the best pass-rushers in the business. If Jones is allowed to generate momentum, the Panthers can kiss their chances of an unlikely victory goodbye.
So while Jones isn’t what he once was, if Carolina isn’t careful, they could have a long day with Jones.
