Carolina Panthers at Miami Dolphins – Week 12
Another team that’s gone through plenty of turmoil in 2021 is the Miami Dolphins.
The AFC East outfit almost pulled the trigger on a trade for Deshaun Watson before the deadline before running out of time. But considering their apparent lack of confidence in Tua Tagovailoa under center, it would be a big surprise if they didn’t go back for the signal-caller if his serious legal issues are resolved.
There is plenty of talent in Miami, so for them to be sitting at 3-7 through 10 games is puzzling. The stakes will be equally as high for the Carolina Panthers, who need a win of their own to head into the Week 13 bye with some confidence.
Carolina’s offense would have to be pretty bad not to generate some sort of success at the Dolphins. Hopefully, offensive coordinator Joe Brady will have figured some things out regarding how best to utilize Cam Newton by this point. Christian McCaffrey should also be healthy enough to make a lasting contribution.
Whether that’s enough to emerge victoriously is another matter entirely.
This will all depend on Tagovailoa’s health and Newton’s progression in his second game back. If the former Auburn star can lift the Panthers, they could emerge with a vital road win.
