Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons – Week 14

Coming back after such a late bye is normally the recipe for a strong end to the campaign. However, one cannot look at the Carolina Panthers schedule from Week 14 onwards with any sort of confidence whatsoever.

Hosting the Atlanta Falcons – a team Carolina’s already beaten – appears to be the most winnable. Even though that’s no guarantee given how well Matt Ryan is performing of late.

Ryan is quietly putting together one of the best statistical seasons of his career. Even though it isn’t getting talked about nearly enough.

This is made even more remarkable when one considers Julio Jones was traded to the Tennessee Titans and Calvin Ridley hasn’t featured much at all due to personal issues. Leaving Ryan relying on stud rookie tight end Kyle Pitts, who was shut down by All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore earlier this season.

That would have been a learning curve for Pitts and Atlanta. So the Panthers also need to adjust their game plan and keep the Falcons off guard.

We are tipping Carlina to win this one based on them being fresh after the bye week, Cam Newton’s presence on the roster, and an electric atmosphere for a divisional matchup at Bank of America Stadium.
