3 best prop and alternate bets for the Panthers at Cardinals in Week 10
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers defense
- Holds Arizona under 13.5 points in the first half (-105)
For all the documented struggles on offense, the Carolina Panthers’ defense continues to be among the league’s best and they’ll fancy their chances of making life extremely difficult for backup Colt McCoy if Kyler Murray misses another game.
Hopefully, Brian Burns’ ankle problem suffered at the hands of Mac Jones’ dirty play during their loss to the New England Patriots won’t keep him off the field. The Panthers are also getting veteran safety Juston Burris back into the lineup, which is a significant boost considering how well he started the campaign.
Shutting down running back James Conner is priority No. 1 if Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are ruled out. If they can do this and put the game in McCoy’s hands, then Carolina’s chances of a substantial upset improve.
Keeping things tight in the first half is of critical importance. The last thing Carolina needs is for the Arizona Cardinals to gain momentum right out of the gate, which keeps the fans hyped and makes it even more difficult for quarterback P.J. Walker.
This is all dependent on Murray’s status. If he’s ruled out, then backing the Panthers to restrict Arizona to under 13.5 points in the first half at -105 (bet $105 to win $100) is the play.
