Christian McCaffrey‘s return from a five-game injury layoff was encouraging in Week 9. The running back generated more than 100 all-purpose yards for a struggling offense from just 18 combined touches, which was not his usual workload and something of a necessity considering his struggles staying healthy over the last two seasons.
With P.J. Walker expected to start – although we might see Cam Newton in the game for specific packages – McCaffrey will be relied upon heavily at the Arizona Cardinals and could be in for a profitable afternoon.
Arizona is currently giving up 111.1 yards per game on the ground – ranked No. 18 across the league. So there should be chances for McCaffrey to generate significant yardage and keep the Cardinals’ defense honest.
The Carolina Panthers need McCaffrey at the top of his game.
Otherwise, it’s going to be a long afternoon.
Providing the offensive line lives up to their end of the bargain, taking McCaffrey to accumulate more than 65.5 rushing yards at -125 (bet $125 to win $100) feels like a realistic proposition.
