Bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers as they look to pick up a shock victory against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Week 10.
Things are going to be difficult for the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 despite the increased excitement across the organization. Cam Newton’s shock return has injected life into the fanbase and there is now a real sense of purpose within the locker room that hasn’t really been seen over the last few games of Sam Darnold’s time under center.
With ESPN’s insider Adam Schefter reporting that the Panthers are planning for Darnold to be out for the season and giving Newton the chance to win the starting job in 2022, the turnaround in direction is remarkable all things considered.
The Arizona Cardinals are looking to deflate this optimism on Sunday and keep their Super Bowl aspirations trending in the right direction. Although they might have to do it without two key men in Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins if both players fail to prove their fitness pre-game.
Without further ado, here are five bold predictions for the Panthers in Week 10.
Bold Prediction No. 1

Carolina Panthers OLB Shaq Thompson forces a fumble
Shaq Thompson has been a revelation for the Panthers this season. The outside linebacker is playing at a Pro Bowl level and he’ll no doubt be at the heart of everything good on defense in Week 10.
The former first-round pick has emerged as the defensive lynchpin and leader Carolina was hoping for when Luke Kuechly hung up his cleats. Not only this, but Thompson is also making big plays in key moments to further enhance his overall influence.
Expect this to continue in Week 10 and our first bold prediction is Thompson forcing a fumble. Hopefully, the offense can make the most of any turnovers, which would be a nice change of pace.
