After one of the most dramatic weeks in the 27-year history of the Carolina Panthers, attention turns to matters on the field at the Arizona Cardinals. This is going to be a hugely difficult task for Matt Rhule’s men, although everyone associated with the organization has been given the biggest of lifts following the bombshell return of Cam Newton.

The Cardinals are in exceptional form this season and could be a lively Super Bowl contender if they keep this up over the second half of the campaign. Their dominant victory over the San Francisco 49ers without some key men is a testament to just how strong this roster is and Carolina will need to produce a turnaround of epic proportions to shock the NFL this weekend.

It won’t be easy. And few are expecting Carolina to get themselves back to .500 heading into their reunion with Ron Rivera in Week 11.

But the NFL is a week-to-week league and anything can happen. However unlikely it might appear.

Will Cam Newton play in Week 10?

The return of Cam Newton to Carolina this week was nothing short of astonishing. And the former NFL MVP might see the field in some capacity right out of the gate.

Asking Newton to come in and start with little preparation time is too much. Although there appears little doubt he’ll be under center against the Washington Football Team during what should be an electrifying occasion at Bank of America Stadium next weekend.

Some special packages could be devised for Newton. Especially in the red zone, where he’s excelled throughout his career.

Panthers Injury Report at Cardinals Week 10

The Panthers lost Sam Darnold to the reserve/injured list and, of course, Matt Paradis is now out for the season after suffering a torn ACL on the second offensive snap against the New England Patriots.

Brian Burns’ status is also in some doubt following the dirty play from Mac Jones that resulted in an ankle issue.

Here is the full Carolina injury report for Week 10:

  • DE Brian Burns – Questionable (ankle)
  • LB Frankie Luvu – Questionable (knee)
  • CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver III – Out (toe)
  • CB Rashaan Melvin – Out (hand)

The Cardinals also have some concerns, led by star duo Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, who will both be game-time decisions on Sunday.

Here is Arizona’s injury report for Week 10:

  • S Budda Baker – Questionable (concussion/knee)
  • RB Chase Edmonds – Out (ankle)
  • OL Max Garcia – Questionable (Achillies)
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins – Questionable (hamstring)
  • WR Rondale Moore – Questionable (neck/concussion)
  • QB Kyler Murray – Questionable (ankle)
  • OL Justin Pugh – Out (calf)
  • RB Jonathan Ward – Out (concussion)

Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 10

WynnBET’s Week 10 NFL odds have Carolina as 10.0-point underdogs on the road. The money line odds are +365 for the Panthers (bet $100 to win $365), with the Cardinals sitting as the clear favorites at -460 (bet $460 to win $100).

The over/under set by WynnBET is 44.0, which is available at -110 (bet $110 to win $100) in both directions.

Although the Cam Newton factor is a big plus moving forward, it might not come right away and certainly not in Week 10. One cannot predict anything other than an Arizona win in this one given the form and they might just cover the spread while they’re at it.
