What were the main talking points as the Carolina Panthers steamrolled the NFC leading Arizona Cardinals to keep themselves in the playoff race?

You really couldn’t have written this story any better. Two touchdowns for the returning Cam Newton as the Carolina Panthers dominated the Arizona Cardinals, winning 34-10 in the desert to put themselves firmly back in the wildcard race.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better win for Matt Rhule in his Panthers tenure.

All three units completely overwhelmed the Cardinals. The defense set the tone on the very first drive of the game and this continued throughout.

Haason Reddick – who now has 9.5 sacks ranking him first in the NFC and fourth overall – forced the fumble on Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy and it was recovered by Morgan Fox setting the Panthers up in the red zone.

You could see the effect Newton had on this team. The Panthers were fired up and the Cardinals had no answer.

Arizona must be sick of the sight of Carolina. They’ve now beaten them in the last six meetings all by 10 points or more and this latest success leaves many wondering just what this team could eventually accomplish in 2021.

Without further ado, let’s get into five major talking points on a wonderful Victory Monday.
