Did we mention the Carolina Panthers need help on the offensive line?

Should Cam Newton keep the gig under center in 2022, he’ll need better protection in front of him. Although the former No. 1 overall selection is still a dominant physical force, his injury problems that ended his first stint in Carolina are well documented and the signal-caller will be 33 years old next season.

It’s therefore imperative that the Panthers acquire some young, hungry college prospects capable of slotting in Week 1 and making a difference.

Darian Kinnard fits into this bracket.

The imposing Kentucky standout is explosive to the point of attack and has the quickness to operate almost anywhere on the protection. His awareness is top-notch and the player also has a ruthless streak that coincides with finishing off plays with conviction.

There is some doubt as to where Kinnard is best suited once he gets to the NFL. Considering the Panthers drafted a left tackle in the first round, then using his exceptional skill set on the interior would be the way to go.

Michael Jordan has shown promise at left guard after being introduced into the lineup. Putting Kinnard on the right side alongside a supreme force such as Taylor Moton would be a significant upgrade.
