Cam Newton has offensive weapons

Christian McCaffrey is a do-it-all running back that Cam Newton can truly lean on. He is a difference-maker and defenses’ eyes shift to him.

The Carolina Panthers also did a great job at depth this season especially with the additions of Chuba Hubbard and Ameer Abdullah.

McCaffrey and Abdullah are great pass-catchers out of the backfield for Newton. Hubbard is still a work in progress in this area, but all three backs can run through holes and make something from nothing in the run game.

This trio can take the load off Newton and help the offense drive down the field.

The wide receiver depth also has Newton smiling from ear to ear.

He has some chemistry with D.J. Moore that was successful. Newton has also hit it off with Robby Anderson as we all saw against the Arizona Cardinals when the quarterback threw a laser to his wideout for a touchdown.

Terrace Marshall Jr., Brandon Zylstra, and even Shi Smith if he’s active could play some part.

Some of the wide receivers had their struggles at the beginning of the season, but I believe these are behind them. All the players are bought into Newton and want to make a playoff push as bad as him.

We all remember the Newton and Greg Olsen connection years ago. But the tight ends are once again not being implemented into the playbook this season, at least not yet.

Joe Brady might put them in for extra pass blocking or run blocking, but in the passing game they’re just not showing up. If there is a quarterback that will utilize their tight ends it’s Newton.

He has the most weapons in his career and this offense should be fun to watch. It was electric against the Cardinals and I expect it to be like that for the rest of the season.
