Cam Newton laid down the gauntlet, and now it’s time for fans of the Carolina Panthers to answer the quarterback’s rallying cry in Week 11.

The message from Cam Newton was clear.

It’s time to reclaim Bank of America Stadium.

The Carolina Panthers have been inconsistent on the field from the day Newton was released and perhaps even before then. It’s hard to cheer for losing football and get motivated from a fan perspective, which has seen many rival fans take over their home field in 2021.

Most prominently, it was the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and New England Patriots. An ongoing source of frustration for the die-hards who attend games no matter what.

Their loss against the Patriots was the final straw. In more ways than one.

And those in power within the organization took a drastic measure that could save their season.

Newton’s return was nothing short of a bombshell. A move that brought a complete turnaround in excitement and anticipation after quarterback Sam Darnold officially passed the point of no return.

His two-touchdown performance from nine snaps in Carolina’s outstanding win at the Arizona Cardinals after just three days with the team only heightened expectations. Newton is set to start against the Washington Football Team in Week 11, which sees the signal-caller clash with his former head coach Ron Rivera to add further spice to the occasion.

Ticket sales are through the roof.

You couldn’t consider saying that before Newton came back.

Cam Newton wants to put pride back into the Carolina Panthers.

Opposing fans infiltrating the stadium hasn’t gone unnoticed by the No. 1 overall selection out of Auburn. Newton is giving away 50 tickets for the game to those who’ve either never been or seldom attended fixtures – with the player also issuing a rallying cry to Panther Nation to get some pride back into the franchise.

"“This Sunday is important for us. We need to reclaim Bank of America Stadium. I know the success hasn’t been there, but we ain’t talking about the past. We’re talking about the things here moving forward.”"

Newton hasn’t come back to make up the numbers or for a Cinderella story.

He’s here to win.

The Panthers have the talent, now they also have Newton.

There is going to be an electrifying atmosphere within the stadium on Sunday. The noise when Newton gets announced and comes flying out of the tunnel ready to work is going to be incredible.

Newton and this young team will feed off this energy and hopefully, turn it into a positive performance that gets Carolina to 6-5.

The call has been made. Now is the time for fans to rid themselves of any friction, come together, and get behind the Panthers from start to finish.

Be loud.

Be proud.

Whether it results in the Panthers making the postseason or not is irrelevant, really. Carolina needs to feel a connection to the team that’s been lost since the glory days of the 2010s, which has seen almost all of their 2015 NFC championship team either leave or retire.

Newton is the sort of player that needs high energy and noise from the crowd to thrive. The sort of charisma that’s been sorely lacking under center with Darnold and Teddy Bridgewater.

The majority of Panther Nation wanted Newton to come back. Now that their wish has been granted in astonishing fashion, they must stand up and make their own lasting contribution from the stands.
