Terry McLaurin – WR

It’s a shame that Terry McLaurin hasn’t had a good quarterback in his short career yet because he’s an elite wide receiver even with a below-average one.

McLaurin has made some truly exceptional catches this season but still doesn’t have numbers like the rest of the league’s elite Mainly because of Taylor Heinicke at quarterback, who hasn’t been terrible but isn’t exactly Patrick Mahomes, either.

However, if you don’t line up and defend him properly, McLaurin can make your day a nightmare. He is a smooth route-runner that has a real knack for making things happen at the drop of a hat.

The former Ohio State sensation is right on pace for another 1,000-yard season with 632 receiving yards in nine games, and he’s caught four touchdowns to go with it.

He did get a bit banged up last week though but returned to the game. So, that is something to keep an eye on against a Carolina Panthers secondary that is undeniably the team’s biggest strength.

Washington’s offense relies heavily on McLaurin and the Panthers would be smart to focus all-in to try and leave him out of the game plan. That would be a solid foundation from which to build in pursuit of getting themselves back to a winning record.
