5 Washington players the Carolina Panthers must keep quiet in Week 11
By Jason Huber
Antonio Gibson – RB
This season has been a bit of a letdown coming off his incredible rookie season last year. However, Antonio Gibson is still an elite versatile-type running back for the Washington Football Team.
Gibson has been banged up by some injuries this year and hasn’t been helped with the inconsistent quarterback play. But he is coming off a two-touchdown game that should help him regain some confidence.
He has compiled 506 rushing yards and 158 receiving yards this year in nine games. It looks like his stock is on the rise at just the right time and this is a threat that the Carolina Panthers need to take seriously.
The problem for Gibson is Carolina’s tough run defense, which has come on a significant amount in 2021. What they will need to worry about where the Memphis product is concerned would be versatility.
If Washington utilizes him properly, Gibson could make it a tough day for the Panthers.
Carolina can’t have that happen.
When Gibson is off his game, Washington is much worse of a team. Limiting his production is one of the keys to a potential victory.
