Morgan Fox – Carolina Panthers DL

There is little doubt that Morgan Fox was one of the best free-agent signings made by the Carolina Panthers this offseason. The defensive lineman has been a fantastic asset to a unit that’s come on leaps and bounds in 2021, leading or among the leaders in many key statistical categories through Week 10.

Fox’s capabilities generating pressure consistently have been eye-catching. Not only this, but the player is also a commanding force against the run to further enhance his overall influence.

This is something Fox flashed during his time on the Los Angeles Rams. Whatever the Panthers front office saw in the player, they were right to bring him in on a two-year deal during the early stages of the all-important free agency period.

Although Fox has just 1.5 sacks, six quarterback hits, 17 tackles, and eight pressures, he is doing a lot of selfless work that’s enabling others to make plays. The sort of mindset that’s prevalent across Carolina’s formidable defense.

The Washington Football Team has a prominent dual-threat weapon in Antonio Gibson, who can gain yardage in-between the tackles and on the edge. Stopping him will be crucial to the team’s chances of putting another win in the column and Fox’s contribution should go a long way towards this.
