Christian McCaffrey gains 10+ receptions for the Carolina Panthers

It didn’t take long for the real Christian McCaffrey to get going after a five-game absence through injury. The running back wasn’t given his usual workload against the New England Patriots in Week 9, but he led from the front, performed magnificently, and carried the load at the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.

McCaffrey is going to be one of the players who benefits most from Cam Newton’s return. The pair have played together briefly before the quarterback’s injury problems began, so if both perform to the level they’re capable of it’s going to provide the spark that the Carolina Panthers have been missing.

Everyone knows how much McCaffrey can influence proceedings if given enough space. Nobody more so than Ron Rivera – who drafted and coached the former first-round pick before his firing.

Not only will McCaffrey look to take advantage of some weaknesses on the Washington Football Team’s defensive front, but he’ll also provide Newton with the league’s best pass-catching presence coming out of the backfield.

Considering how little Newton might know of the playbook, expect him to look for McCaffrey early and often. With this in mind, we’re backing the Stanford product to gain double-digit receptions in Week 11.
