C.J. Henderson secures his first Carolina Panthers INT
It’s been a slow introduction for C.J. Henderson following his trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The cornerback has been dealing with a shoulder injury that’s left opportunities limited, although he did produce his best performance since joining the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 at the Arizona Cardinals.
This will have done Henderson’s confidence the world of good. The Panthers will probably rotate their cornerbacks’ plenty once again, which has kept them fresh with no drop-off in production for good measure.
The Washington Football Team does have some exciting playmakers in the passing game. But quarterback Taylor Heinicke is prone to an error or two under pressure and this is something the Panthers can generate with their exceptional front seven.
Opportunities will be there for those on the backend. Making the most of them will be crucial to Carolina’s chances of coming away with another morale-boosting victory.
Henderson is seen as a long-term prospect by the Panthers. But that doesn’t mean he won’t have a big say during the team’s run-in at some stage.
And who knows, Henderson might get his first-ever interception in Carolina colors this weekend.
