5 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers vs. Washington in Week 11

Brian Burns gains 2+ sacks for the Carolina Panthers
People probably expected a little more from Brian Burns this season. Many predicted the player to put up potential All-Pro numbers – which hasn’t materialized as yet – but there is no doubt he’s having a huge say on the outcome of games.
Burns is commanding a lot of attention. Not entirely unexpected considering how much he flashed for the Carolina Panthers in 2020.
That might be impacting his personal stats. But it’s also freeing up space for others to do damage.
Haason Reddick, in particular.
It won’t be long before teams start focusing their attentions on Reddick, who is up to 9.5 sacks on the season after a dominant showing against his former team last Sunday. That means a big game from Burns won’t be too far away.
Again, Burns is someone Ron Rivera knows well. He was part of the decision-making process that saw the Panthers select him in the first round and will know exactly how the speedy pass-rusher can completely shift the course of a contest.
Burns stated before the campaign that opposing protection schemes have to pick their poison. If Washington decides to try and counteract the hot hand of Reddick, then it can mean nothing but good things for the Florida State product.
This might be Burns’ statement game at long last. If our final bold prediction comes to fruition, then it will be yet another big-time asset for Carolina to maximize.
