Christian McCaffrey – Carolina Panthers RB

Christian McCaffrey found his way back towards the top of the rankings for running backs in fantasy last weekend. The All-Pro tallied 161 total yards and 26.10 points against the Arizona Cardinals and could have had even more if he had run for one of the Carolina Panthers’ short-yardage touchdowns instead of Cam Newton.

During the game, McCaffrey was seen working on his right hamstring with trainers on the sideline. But the good news is he was not listed on injury reports or limited in practices this week.

Start or Sit?

START.

We already know McCaffrey is a must-start type of player, despite the fact that Washington’s run defense is top-six in the NFL.

One interesting stat is that Washington has allowed seven receiving touchdowns to running backs this year – the most in the league. Perhaps the versatile McCaffrey will add to that total this Sunday and expect Newton to look for the Stanford product early and often.

If McCaffrey can keep the chains moving, set the tempo, and come up with big plays when it matters most, then the Panthers and anyone who owns him in fantasy will emerge from the game with nothing but pleasure.
