Who were the big winners and losers from the Carolina Panthers’  disappointing loss against the Washington Football Team in Week 11?

In one of the most anticipated games of the season, thanks to Cam Newton’s return to Bank of America Stadium, the Carolina Panthers ended up being outdueled by their former head coach Ron Rivera and his Washington Football Team.

You could feel chills go down your spine when Newton was introduced before the game. He ran onto the field pointing to the fans screaming “This is my city”.

And for a while, the excitement continued. Newton scored two touchdowns in the first two quarters and Carolina led 14-7.

However, the defense fell apart, and former Panthers signal-caller Taylor Heinicke and kicker Joey Slye contributed in a big way to Washington’s win.

Carolina has now lost four-straight games at home and sits at 5-6 in a very tight race for an NFC wildcard spot.

There were many factors that went into Sunday’s loss but ultimately, Rivera had his team ready. That’s something Panthers fans are all-too-familiar with.

The Newton excitement should still have fans on their feet next week but if Carolina loses to the Miami Dolphins, there might be some major changes.

With that said, here are this week’s three winners and three losers from the game.
